Most of the china tea sets I collected were in an almost pristine condition, and it struck me that those who had owned them before had probably kept them in cabinets and used them only on high days and holidays.

How lovely then that this vintage china will now be used for your special occasion bringing a real sense of style to any event.

The vintage china is a real talking point and your guests will just love the fact that the items are mismatched rather than all one design, making for an interesting and colourful display. Reusing items which others no longer have any use for is also recycling at its best.

Inspiration for Jolly Vintage Tea Party

Most of us of a certain age can remember having tea with an older relative!

My inspiration for Jolly Vintage Tea Party was my late Grandma Rene who I thought so glamorous with her hair and make up always just so.

Going to Grandma’s for tea on Saturday afternoon was a real treat. The table was always laid with a lovely tablecloth and her best china; the cakes were admittedly shop brought because Grandma worked! But the happy memories of sitting down to a proper tea have stayed with me.
